Matthew, husband of Angela and father of Sebastian, Maximilian, Ignatius, Cornelius and Boniface lives in Fort Worth, TX and has served the Catholic Church since 1995 at six parishes and three schools, in the areas of RCIA, elementary, junior high, high school, and adult religious education, as well as Hispanic ministry, youth ministry, and director of Gregorian chant.
In 1998 Matthew startedRemnant Band at Saint Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas. Remnant formed to play at Mass, and soon after began to help at retreats and put on rallies at churches in the Fort Worth and Dallas Dioceses. Throughout the years, Remnant Band grew to include a t-shirt company and a lay apostolate. From 1998 to 2008, Remnant served over 120 groups (dioceses, parishes, schools and organizations) traveling to 20 states and 5 countries, putting on just over 300 events (concerts, retreats, rallies, lock-ins and talks) including shows at World Youth Day in Toronto in 2002, Cologne in 2005 and Sydney in 2008. Remnant has also played at conferences, DCYCs and various events at parishes and schools, sometimes playing for crowds as large as 7000.
